How To Spot Natural vs. Organic Skincare Products

Updated: May 11, 2021

Your skin deserves the best treatment possible.

Shopping for the right products for your skin and body can be tricky. Here are some tips to keep in mind next time you’re in the market:

  • Natural products can be labeled natural but still contain chemical synthetics and/or petrochemicals. In order to be considered organic, a product must contain 100% pure organic oils. All other ingredients must be cultivated organically and must be approved by European norms.

  • At the moment, each product must be analyzed to be considered organic. Only the following three logos are recognized and respect BPF and ISO norms. When it comes to a certified organic product, the quality of the product can be guaranteed, but not its performance.

  • Beware of the various claims on products. We often feel more secure purchasing from health food stores, but you may not be purchasing a cosmetic – which by definition should enhance, modify and improve. Conventional products can often give considerably more results.

Make an educated choice next time you’re shopping, not a misguided one.
